HCT Sun has started supplying rooftop solar power to a leading integrated third-party logistics solutions provider. The 267-kWp project will power up a large part of the client’s overall operations at the facility located in Pune. The power generated will be equal to planting 3970 trees per year, and will reduce emissions equivalent to 340 tons/year.

The client was keen to tap solar power to strengthen its sustainability initiatives, and power up its electric vehicle charging units, but had some concerns over any potential roof and property damage. In addition, the client was also concerned about the safety aspects during installation and operations of the solar power project.

However, HCT’s imported non-penetrative mounting structures and internationally-certified safety and installation practices made the project a perfect fit to the logistics facility, structurally and aesthetically. The project incorporated important safety parameters such as a cage ladder, walkways and safety lines, among other things. The added advantage for the client was that the project was completed in 30 days, well before the client’s start of full-scale operations.

The project involved zero upfront capital investment from the client. HCT’s opex solar power solutions ensured that the client could enjoy the benefits of solar power without having to face any financial, operational or permitting hassles.
